Your Home Inspection Checklist

Unless it’s a glaring flaw or you’re a trained professional, you probably can’t tell if your home needs repairs. The home inspection is one of the most critical pieces of the buying and selling process. It’s good to know what to look for before any inspection. If you’re buying, you’ll have a better idea of what the inspector is looking for and if he or she misses anything. If you’re selling, you can have an idea of what to fix before your home goes on the market. It will take away the chance of surprises.

Here are a few things to look for:
Are there visible cracks?
Are your appliances all working well?
Do you hear any unusual noises?

I’ve been through many, many home inspections in the area. I can help you understand this checklist and how to negotiate after the home inspection. Contact me for all of your real estate needs.

The Sizzling Summer Real Estate Market Is About to Fizzle Out

You may also call us at 949-391-3141 for a FREE home buying or selling consultation to answer any of your real estate questions.

The summer sizzle is about to become the summer fizzle.

Why? Right now, we have over 7,000 homes on the market, which is the highest inventory has been all year. Rising inventory is a sure sign that the market is slowing down.

Secondly, kids are going back to school in mid-August, which is earlier than they have started school in many years. If you’re buying a home, this means you want to be in your new home sometime in July. At the very least, you want to be in escrow in July because it takes 30 to 45 days to close on the property and you’ve got to be settled for school.

In other words, buying decisions are going to be cut short this year. If you’re selling a home, you need to list your property now. Give me a call or send me an email with any questions. I would be happy to help you!
